A long weekend from school sometimes creates an opportunity to get away for a few days. Months ago, I decided to set up a weekend trip to my beloved Minneapolis.
There is nothing I don’t love about the Twin Cities. The traffic doesn’t even bother me. The restaurants. The shopping. The people. Uh. It’s glorious. I didn’t expect it, but my aunt Kari asked if I would like to attend a musical with her “golf gals.” Of course, I jumped at the opportunity. I love the theater, and I had never been to the Orpheum.
The “Golf Gals” have season tickets to the theater, and tonight a few gals had to back out. So, I lucked out and got to see Disney’s Newsies. It was fabulous. The dancing was unbelievable, and the storyline was so sweet. I was even able to enjoy a glass (plastic cup) of Cab before the show began.
Our weekend is already half way over, and I’m definitely not ready to head home yet. I know I could get into this city groove.
Stay tuned for more details from our Mpls adventures.
