We woke up this morning to a 45 degree temperature difference from yesterday. South Dakota is truly the Land of Infinite Variety. Our family went to a rodeo in Strasburg, ND, last night despite the 100° F heat. Now, the boys and I are snuggled on the couch under a fleece blanket. I love it!
Summer is coming to a close, which is always bittersweet. I’m excited to get back to school, but I love the time I get with my boys in the summer. I’m so glad I’m a teacher and have this opportunity.
Across the countryside, fields of golden wheat stubble decorate the hills. Combines and grain carts have been busy the last few weeks. Before we know it, bean then corn harvest will be going, too.
Hopefully you all are enjoying your last few weeks (maybe only days) of summer. Whether your family is getting ready for harvest, football, volleyball, or school, I pray that it’s a smooth transition.
